The Good News that Jesus Christ came into the world, lived, died, and was resurrected to save sinners is at the heart of Scripture. All men have sinned and we all fall short of God's glory, which means we cannot be with God nor can we be in a right relationship with Him. Our sin is a rebellion against the God who made us, a declaration that we will make our own decisions about what is right or wrong and that we will not bow or obey Him; we have chosen to be apart from Him. Jesus came to change this by reconciling men back to God. Christ obeyed perfectly, living a sinless life, but He died the death that you and I deserve for our sins; he takes the punishment our sin deserves and gives us His perfect righteous, which is wholly undeserved. This exchange is only possible for those who turn from their rebellion to trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Our desire at Crawford Avenue is to be a Gospel-centered church, with this Good News being proclaimed in every area of life. When confronted with the truths of the Gospel we are faced with a decision: either we believe what the Bible says about Jesus and place our faith in Him, or we reject Him and the forgiveness and life that He offers.

We would love to spend time sharing the Gospel with you and explaining what the Bible says. If you would like to discuss the Gospel further, please let us know by writing to us at admin@crawfordavenue.org. We especially invite you to attend a corporate worship service on Sunday to hear more about the Good News of Jesus Christ.
